Blight is one lifeform attacking another, with resultant loss of vitality. Large butternut are subject to blight and this type of wood is becoming difficult to find as a result. The wood remains unfinished so that I can occasionally rub on it gently with a file or a 400+ grit sandpaper.
Fish are symbolic of Peace

Let's think of a way to include animals in our environment -- both fish and those that eat them.
There is good energy in a mature woods, with standing dead wood and wood lying down. There will be more birds along the margins of the woods, but without the woods themselves, shy birds lose their peaceful retreat.
